winemaker's notes

The 2007 is our first release of this dynamic variety; it shows deep yellow colour with a perfume of apricots, ginger and spice. The rich palate captures the trademark viognier viscosity.
Viognier has taken to the Hilltops region very well, suited to dry cool climate conditions.

The Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide

The first viognier release form theis Hilltops producer is a waxy stone fruit affair, with cooler ginger at the edges and attractive apricot fruits. The palete heads straight down the middle line of richness and balance, some grippy phenolics through the finish and plenty of savoury complexity
